Dr. Gilles Boulais, PsychologistDr. Boulais received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 1978. He is licensed as a psychologist in Ontario, and has 40 years' experience as a consulting psychologist. He is fluent in French and English.
Dr. Boulais provides both short-term and long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults, older adolescents (18 and up), and seniors. His clinical practice also involves the assessment of adults in a variety of cases, such as emotional injuries in tort cases; fitness to work; and, opinions and appeals before administrative tribunals. |

Professional background |
Dr. Boulais has lectured at the doctoral level at the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa, giving courses on Professional Ethics, Diagnostic Systems, and Personality Assessment. He sat as a member of the School's Research Ethics Committee from 1993 to 1998.
He was President of the Ontario Psychological Association from 1983 to 1985, and Executive Director of the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers from 1986 to 1992. Dr. Boulais was elected a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association in 1988 for Distinguished Contributions to the profession. In 2015, he was appointed to the Investigations and Reviews Committee of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, a position he still holds. By Order In Council, he was appointed to the Ontario Review Board in 2019. |
